DHE Team Hits the Road: Recaps from 4 Major Tech Events This Spring
Staying current in this industry means more than reading the latest headlines. It means showing up where the conversations happen: in the rooms where vendors, partners, and practitioners are working through the same challenges your customers face every day. This spring, four DHE team members did exactly that. Here’s what they saw, heard, and brought back.
TD Synnex Red, White & You | Indianapolis, IN — Michael Jaffee
Now in its 20th year, Red, White & You brought together government IT leaders, solution providers, and channel partners in Indianapolis to work through the biggest challenges in public sector technology. The conversations were direct and practical: agencies across federal, state, and local government are under real pressure to move faster, secure more, and do it within tighter constraints.
Michael came back with a sharper perspective on what separates good public sector partners from great ones. Spoiler: it comes down to relationships and knowing how to remove friction from the buying process.
TD Synnex Destination AI Practice Accelerator | Chicago, IL — Adam Gill
The TD Synnex Destination AI Practice Accelerator brought together channel partners for a full day of hands-on training in Chicago, sponsored by Intel, Microsoft, and Windows 11. The program is built to help solution providers develop a real, working practice around machine learning and automation tools, not just talk about them.
Adam came back with a perspective that cuts through a lot of the noise in this space right now: “The most important part of enabling an automation practice for your customers is for your own team to be ‘Customer Zero.’ DHE and I personally have to use these tools internally first before going to a customer. We do not need to be an expert in every single area, but the partners who have their own established practice will be best suited to guide their customers.”
The most powerful demonstration, according to Adam? Turning the laptop around to a CIO and saying: “Here’s what helped me prepare for this meeting today, and we can help your team do the same while maintaining a high security stance for your data.” That’s the DHE approach in a nutshell.
CRN Women of the Channel West | Carlsbad, CA — Taycia Yockim
The CRN Women of the Channel Leadership Summit West took place May 12-13 at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad. Taycia joined hundreds of women from across the IT channel for two days focused on leadership development, peer connection, and real conversation.
This wasn’t a conference of polished success stories. As Taycia described it: “There’s something powerful about being in a room full of leaders who don’t pretend they have it all figured out. Leadership today is deeply human. It’s not about having a perfect plan. It’s about staying steady when things feel uncertain, choosing focus instead of being overwhelmed, and lifting others up while still owning your voice.”
Her biggest takeaway from the two days: “In a world full of noise, the leaders who stand out aren’t necessarily the loudest. They’re the clearest.”
DHE is proud to invest in the growth and leadership of our team. Events like WOTC West are a big part of that.
Google Cloud Next 2026 | Las Vegas, NV — Harrison March
Google Cloud Next 2026 took over the Las Vegas Convention Center April 9-11, and the energy matched the scale. Thousands of attendees, hundreds of sessions, live demos, and announcements that made clear where the industry is heading.
Harrison spent his time thinking about two things: how these developments can improve DHE’s own internal operations, and how to help customers take advantage of them. “The focus is clearly moving beyond simple chat to architectures where tools can securely navigate data silos and execute actual workflows,” he said. “It’s a practical evolution that makes the path to solving long-standing operational bottlenecks a lot clearer.”
On the show floor, Harrison got a firsthand look at Boston Dynamics robots in action, Google’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol demos, and more from vendors pushing the boundaries of what automation looks like in production environments. Customers who start building the right foundation now will have a significant advantage a year from now. DHE can help you get there.
We Go So You Don’t Have To
The DHE team is out in the field because that’s where the work gets done. We go to these events so we can come back better prepared to help you make the right calls on technology.
Have questions about anything we covered above? Let’s talk.
