On February 6, 2026, DHE Computer Systems had the privilege of participating in Jeffco Student Tech Conference (Jeffcon) 2026, hosted at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, Colorado. The day was packed with hands-on learning, meaningful conversations, and real opportunities for students interested in technology and future careers in the industry.
Standing-Room-Only VR Breakout Sessions
The morning kicked off with a 45-minute breakout session led by Nick Garcia, Andrew Trujillo and Marvin Hearn titled “The Wonderful World of VR w/ DHE and Lenovo.” The classroom filled up quickly, a clear sign of the growing curiosity around immersive technology. Students didn’t just listen, they actively engaged with live demonstrations from Optima and VictoryXR, getting a firsthand look at how virtual reality is transforming education and training.
Later in the day, DHE partnered with Transfr VR for a second breakout session focused on career exploration and workforce readiness through VR. Andrew was joined by Bharani Rajakumar, CEO of Transfr VR, and together they walked students through real-world applications that bridge the gap between education and industry needs.
Connecting with Students at the Vendor Booth
From 9:30 AM to 12:35 PM, DHE hosted a vendor table where the conversations were just as impactful as the demos. Students stopped by to discuss their interest in technology, ask questions about career paths, and learn what it takes to succeed in the IT and education technology spaces. Marvin, Marty Provo from <strong”>Lenovo, and members of the DHE team were on hand throughout the morning, sharing insights, advice, and encouragement.
Adding to the momentum, Lenovo leadership Pleschette Fontenet and Joshua Glassel stopped by to support the booth and engage directly with students—an appearance that underscored the importance of industry leaders showing up and investing time in the next generation.
Ending the Day with Impact: Scholarship Awards
The day concluded with one of the most meaningful moments of Jeffcon 2026: the scholarship giveaway. Two outstanding students were each awarded $1,500 scholarships, recognizing their interest, dedication, and potential in the technology field. It was a powerful reminder that events like Jeffcon aren’t just about exposure to technology; they’re about opening doors and creating real opportunities.
Looking Ahead
Jeffco Student Tech Conference 2026 was a day full of curiosity, energy, and genuine connection. From packed VR sessions to thoughtful one-on-one conversations and scholarship support, it reinforced the importance of partnerships between schools, technology providers, and industry leaders.
DHE is grateful to be part of a community that believes in students, invests in innovation, and shows up to support the future of education and technology.
